Every client of The Marketing Square is taught how to blog, add/change/delete photos, video, headlines, content. We include social media training and other online activities specific to clients? needs.
When you get your website, we empower you to do the follow-up online marketing that will help keep your website fresh and interesting so that you?ll continue to be included in search engine results.
Set aside an hour a day and create a to do list for your online marketing activities. Choose from the list we provide. It?s advanced, but you can select one from each section and build up over time to enhance your skills.
Do Not Multitask Online
If you answer your phone, your e-mails, your texts, return phone calls, check social media, do your after work grocery list, visit a favorite website, remember something else you were supposed to do, you?ll NEVER get your online marketing done.
A lot of people want to know WHAT to do online every day. Sit down and make a list. Check out the one we created and pull a few to start with.?Our list is advanced, so cut it in half and build up to it. You need time to learn this and become faster. And you will get fast.
Practice and then we?ll teach you more.
Many succeed. Those who won?t, can?t or don?t want to learn turn it over to The Marketing Square and we tackle it for them. It?s paid but we maximize their budget and ensure traffic and revenue.
If you don?t have budget or want to do it yourself, then we suggest one hour a day every day dedicated, uninterrupted time.?To complete multiple tasks online it?s best to schedule an uninterrupted marketing hour.
Complete Tasks Without Stopping
1. Silence your phone. DON?T TOUCH IT
2. Don?t answer e-mails, texts, eat a meal, listen to music, watch TV or visit other website pages
3. FOCUS!?The faster you complete your list of marketing to dos, the faster you?ll drive website traffic
Multi-Tasking is Not Productive
Harvard Medical School?s website featured two doctors who wrote a Harvard Health Publications book called ?Organize Your Thoughts, Organize Your Mind.? ?The doctors found that multitasking increases the chance for making mistakes and missing important information and cues.
The Doctors Recommend:?
- Completely shifting attention onto only one task at a time
- Focus on the task at hand until it?s done
- Give full attention and you?ll do it better
- Don?t move on until one is complete
Create a Realistic To Do List
To handle your online marketing start with a realistic list. Don?t brainstorm every day. Have a plan and stick to it. Switch it up the next month. Think and select carefully what you know you can do, what you need to do and what you struggle with. Pick several tasks at each ability level. Increase the list over time when you?re more experienced.
Do one thing and check it off. Go to the next one and so on. Finish and then stop after an hour. If you haven?t finished your to do list ? it?s too long. Shorten it. Doing 5 things well is better than half-stepping through 10 online marketing tasks.
Don?t Over Do It
Computer time is like working out?if you do it regularly you?ll see results. If you overdo it, you?ll never want to go back to it. If you skip a day, you?ll have to do more to catch up.
Don?t sit at your computer with a list of 20 things to do ALL DAY vs. 10 things to do ONLINE in an HOUR.
If you know you?ll never do this, then you can pay for it and not have to be bothered. Pay a firm to do what you?re not thrilled to do or can?t find time. But someone?s got to do it.
Don?t believe us? No worries. There are 800 million people using Facebook, Google and YouTube. Stay away from social media and your competition will take over.

Don?t Do It
Everyone who argues that you can?t get clients through social media is not doing any of these activities. Anyone who wants to argue can do so with another person who has time to do so. You could have been working on your blog or social media, taking pictures or video in the time it took to conjure up all the reasons to resist working on your website.
There?s really only one way to get this done. Practice every day. You should be actively engaging in online marketing. The good news is this is advertising that everyone can afford.
Everyone has one hour to commit to growing their business. This is what?s good about online marketing. You have the tools. You have the budget. There?s no excuse for you not to work on this.
You couldn?t do this in the days when the only advertising available was newspaper, magazine, TV and Radio unless you had thousands and thousands of dollars to do advertising.
Today it?s free. If you don?t do it, your missing out. But the competition will love you for it.
The Marketing Square builds and rebuilds websites for Madison Wisconsin and Winter Park Florida businesses. We provide reputation management, search engine optimization, public relations, marketing plans, advertising, video, photos and complete website management.
