TONAWANDA, N.Y. ? Ryan Miller may have spent part of the lockout playing golf and now his face is being painted on a giant golf ball, all for charity.

Rolling Stone magazine artist and Buffalo-native Philip Burke was painting at AMDAR Supply Company in Tonawanda, Thursday, part of Golf Balls on Parade.

A portion of the sales of the golf ball will support Miller's Steadfast Foundation, and other local charities.

In the spring, the Ryan Miller golf ball and dozens more painted by local artists, will be displayed in the Rochester area for a scavenger hunt.

"People from Upstate New York will come and visit, tour all around Rochester. Find the golf balls, take their pictures with the golf balls, upload it for prizes every week," Howie Jacobson, Golf Balls on Parade co-founder.

The 95th PGA Championship will be played at Oak Hill Country Club in Pittsford in August.
